St. Peter Parish and St. Julie Billiart Church are partnering to put on our 2024 Vacation Bible School, called "Scuba: Diving Into Friendship with God." Dates: July 28th - August 1st, 2024. Time: 5:30-7:30 p.m.  Location: St. Peter's Gym. Ages: Children entering Kindergarten-Grade 5 in the fall. Cost: $25 per child. Our Prayer Teams will be praying on Sunday, July 21st, after the 10a.m. Mass. They will pray for physical, spiritual, and emotional needs or whatever need you may have. If you are in need of experiencing the gentle touch and love of Jesus, stay after Mass and have one of the teams pray over you.

During Jesus’ ministry, He went from place to place spreading the good news of God’s love, grace, and healing mercy. He reminded His disciples to remember Him in the breaking of the bread. He calls us to do the same. This summer, Teams of parishioners from both churches will distribute pre-made packages of materials reminding registered Catholics from our two parishes, that Jesus is fully present in the Eucharist, and is waiting to share God’s great love with them. We have 2,600 families registered as members of our two parishes. We need people to go out in teams of two to distribute a bag of information to each household. This will be done over a 2-month period. Just knock on the door, say hello, and give them the packet. A short training session will get teams ready for the task. Guest Speakers will be Alicia Hartle who serves as executive director of Pentecost Today USA (the National Service Committee of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in the US, Graeson Dall, a national speaker who ministers with zeal and drive to awaken the universal church to the transformative love of the Holy Spirit, and Fr. Saint Peter Vincentians will be accepting Monetary Donations for school supplies the weekends of July 6th/7th & July 13th/14th. Your donations will be given to Sr. Sean Groh, our Parish Catechetical Leader and Assistant Principal, who will purchase and oversee the distribution of the school supplies. Please use the envelopes available at all church entrances (checks payable to Saint Peter Parish) and place them in the collection baskets at church or drop them at the parish office. Weekday morning confessions will move from Fridays to Wednesdays BEGINNING JUNE 19TH, 2024. Confessions will still be heard after the 8:15am Mass in the church.

St. Julie's Parish will host Mass on the 4th of July at 9:00am. St. Peter's Parish Office will be closed Thursday, July 4th and Friday, July 5th.

You are invited to grow closer to Jesus alongside fellow parishioners through the Jesus and the Eucharist 7-week study. This study was specifically designed for the National Eucharistic Revival, and we will be joining many other parishes throughout the United States in participating in this small group study. Each session is full of rich theological content, powerful testimonies, and unique and timely messages from individual bishops across the country. This is a great opportunity to dive more deeply into the richness of our Eucharistic faith. Two sessions are being provided: one at St. Julie’s on Monday evenings beginning June 17th and one at St. Peter’s on Wednesday afternoons beginning June 19th. St. Peter Parish sponsors a dinner for the community of North Ridgeville through Community Care. The dinner is provided on the last Wednesday of each month in the gym. It is served from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Our next meal is Wednesday, June 26, 2024.

Catholic Renewal Ministries’ Traveling Charismatic Mass for June will be held here at St. Peter Parish on Friday, June 21st, 7:00 pm. Fr. Bob Franco will be the celebrant. Praise and worship will begin at 7:00 pm and the liturgy will start at 7:30pm. Healing prayer teams will be available after mass for individual prayer, and there will also be a social after mass. On March 26, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in a case that has the potential to make a major impact in the widespread accessibility of chemical abortion (abortion pills). Chemical abortions are now the most common form of abortion in the United States. The case is in response to the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) promoting the availability of chemical abortion while ignoring risks to women and violating federal law. We ask Catholics to offer this prayer daily, from March 25 through June, when a decision is expected.
